DIF won Stockholm derby

Djurgården (DIF) won today’s Stockholm football derby against AIK with 2-1. It was the first time a derby game was played at lunch time in an attempt to reduce the alcohol consumption on the stands and the risk for violence outside the arena.

Sweden lost against the Czech Republic with 1-2 last night but was already qualified for the second stage in the ice hockey World Championship.

Sweden lost yesterday’s semi final in the ice hockey world championship against the Czechs but secured the bronze medal today by winning 3-1 against one of the tournament´s big surprises, the home team Germany.
