The pet store Häst & Hundhuset has taken its marketing to the very front edge. At Östermalm in Stockholm they have placed advertising boards that aims directly to an important voice over household purchases: the dog.

The advertising board is only one meter high and carry a picture of a kinsman of the same specie.

But how are dogs made interested in reading the ad?
- We have placed meatballs on the back of the board so it gives some smell, says Peter Crichlow, owner of the pet store, to newspaper Metro.

Doesn’t the dog owners get angry when you bait with goodies?
- No, on the other hand. The dogs think it is exciting and the owners are glad when the dogs gets activated.

Are there any particular dogs that you aim for?
- It is mostly wealthy inner city dogs, since our store is in that perticular area. We advertise for dog collars with Swarovski Crystals.
