Ten Swedes with Iranian origin accused of terror

National News | 2009-12-29 | 7 comments
Ten Swedes with Iranian origin have been listed as wanted for terror related crimes by Iran on Interpol’s homepage. But their spokesperson Arezo Julie Jacobsson claims that the Iranian regime only wants to discredit them since they belong to the opposition.

The persons are listed with name and picture. Sweden, as other countries, is normally committed to act after signing treaties to fight terrorism. But if the Swedish police judge that there is no truth behind the allegations, they might do nothing.

-The first thing they felt was shock since they have been against the regime for thirty years. This is new; they have never before been called criminals or terrorists she says to the daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN).

The men all come from the Kurdish parts of Iran and they arrived as political refugees to Sweden more than twenty years ago.

-This is a difficult and untenable situation which creates fear among regime critics. It is a fearsome scenario for them and their families. There whole reputation is at stake and they feel violated and want to do everything to solve the situation Jacobsson is quoted in DN.

Jacobsson is now working to get the names removed from the list

According to Pooya Dayanim, an Iranian affairs specialist and a pro-democracy coordinator, the past executive committee member and director of foreign affairs of the Iran Referendum Movement, the movement´s aims have gone far beyond what they were in June when this all started. The political activists initially had hoped to elect a President (Moussavi) and then a Parliament in a free a

Is this title current for this news? at the moment the youth are being killed on streets to unseat this dictator regime, Sweden instead of supporting democracy in Iran is following these nonsenses. We Iranian will not be here forever but never forget the behavior of this government against all given bloods of people that just wanted to know where their votes. is there any body give only one name , only one name of one Iranian terrorist over the contemporary history?
