Swede appointed to UN police chief

Today on the International Women's Day, Ban Ki-Moon appointed the Swedish police officer Ann-Marie Orler to the top executive post for UN's police force. She will be responsible for around 13 000 police officers all around the world who are abroad on UN-missions. Ann-Marie Orler has since 2008 been adviser within the UN and has worked with the recruitment of female police officers to UN-missions. (SR)
