Volvo Cars is said to have put an offer Saab Automobile's bankruptcy estate, sources have told public radio SR. Volvo has previously talked about their interest in the company.

“It is up to the liquidators to comment on incoming offers,” said Per-Åke Fröberg, Media Relations Manager at Volvo Cars.

But, he confirmed that Volvo still is interested in some parts, like machinery and test equipment, which in that case should be used in Volvo's own production and not to restart the Saab plant in Trollhättan, western Sweden.
