One prisoner at Kumla has been abused. According to unconfirmed information the prisoner is Jackie Arklöv, who was convicted for police murder nine years ago. The reason for the abuse is not known. The prisoner is now back at his cell without any severe damages. (DN)

Two different money transportations were robbed Thursday afternoon in the Stockholm area. In both cases did the robbers work in pairs and fled on two wheel vehicles. No one was physically harmed and the police do not suspect any connection between the two incidents. (SVD)

Medical doctors’ fear of being reported insomuch that 16 percent of their work goes to examinations that are clinically unneeded, this is said by the Swedish Medical Association. A six-year-old Swedish girl who was kidnapped by her father was on the night to Tuesday found in Cambodia. Today was she reunited with her mother after being missing for one year. The father is now under arrest and will be extradited to Sweden. (DN/TT)

In June was 8.1 percent of the labor force unemployed, shows the latest figures from Statistics Sweden. The number of employed have increased with 1.9 percent. About 75 percent of the increase is explained by the increase of immigrants in employment.

Three players in the Swedish national handball team got extremely drunk and are accused of vandalism in their hotel. The incident occurred after a match against Germany this weekend. The players will be temporarily suspended from the national team. (DN)
