Halmstad BK climed to the top of The Swedish football league, Allsvenskan, today after beating Malmö FF 2-1 away. They are two points ahead of Djurgården, who has yet to play in the 10th round. Last year champions Elfsborg lost away 2-1 against Gais and is at a 5th place right now in a very even table. Allsvenskan started in April and goes on until early November. The teams have now played nine and ten games out of twenty-six.

The Stockholm side Hammarby lost tonight in the 4th round of the Swedish cup to first division IFK Norrköping
